The cold swiftness of the river.

The sweetness of your scent.
How it fades.
The smell of the pines after the rain.
How it fades.

My heart waits...
For some release
A release from this prison

where beauty fades
where the mind forgets
where the soul dies

thoughts of a werewolf

In the spirit of the season, I thought i'd dust off something i wrote for a class back in high school. Cheers~

Surging through the night
Heart pounding in my chest
Trees flitting past
Your scent in my mind
Consuming my thoughts
Driving me on
Through this night

Hide me from the light
Keep me hidden
Just a moment longer
Until I find you
Your scent is in my mind
It is my only thought
Driving me on
Through this night

So close to you now
I can smell your warmth
It invigorates me
Pulling me onward
Your scent possesses my mind
Pulling me into insanity
Consuming everything
In this night

You remain just out of reach
Running from me
Why do you run?
I only want you for my own
Please don't run
It only entices my mind
I will have you
If only for this night

Why did you run?
Now you are mine
If only to taste
Your flesh consumes my senses.
Taste, touch, and smell
Your mine now forever more
If only a memory and a meal
In this night
